The solution was to right-click the server's name in Routing and remote access and select proprieties. Then, I went to IPv4 tab and assigned a static address pool for clients. After that, another issue was that some clients, while connected to VPN, were unable to browse the Internet.
Mar 19, 2013 · I have setup a multisite VPN connecting 4 servers. I too have this issue where I cannot ping the VPN server from the other end of the tunnel. The interesting thing is when I reboot the server(s) they can ping though for a period of time (5-10 minutes?) but afterwards, cannot seem to find the server again.
So I have pfsense server 2.3.2-RELEASE-p1 192.168.11.1 it has openvpn server 10.8.0.0/24 clients can connect to server and they can ping lan side 192.168.11.0/24 but I can't ping the vpn clients from the lan side. Azure uses 10.10.0.0 and local server uses 10.100.0.0 passing traffic through the Fortigate device. I can't ping either on Azure nor on-premise server. I have on both firewalls the policy enabled for vpn to lan and lan to vpn. I have static route added on fortigate. I see incoming log but outgoing log is 0. I hope someone can help me.
